Emart Sunny Sale: 3D Shadow QR Code

Here is a very smart use of QR codes from Korea, a region known for it’s high levels of traction with this technology. This campaign from Emart, one of the largest retailers in Korea, needed to increase sales during lunchtime.
Emart introduced “The Sunny Sale” which involved a three-dimensional QR code that was placed across the city and could only be scanned during the hours of 12 and 1 each day, due to the sunlight casting a shadow to complete the QR code. Anybody who did scan the code was given a special discount code with 25% off that could be redeemed in store or through their mobile e commerce site. Emart have seen a great increase in sales during the lunchtime period and have doubled the number of locations for this promotion. This is a very smart way to effectively use technology to drive sales.

KOTEX: The World’s First Pinterest Campaign

With Pinterest being all the rage this year, it wasn’t going to be long before someone claimed the “World’s First Pinterest Campaign” if it already hasn’t been claimed somewhere else. Yes, I’ve seen the Peugeot Puzzle one too, think these guys beat them?! (created by Smoyz)
The campaign was called “Womens Inspiration Day by KOTEX” an out reach campaign using Pinterest to find 50 women in Israel and what inspires them. From there, KOTEX created individual inspiration packages using what each woman had on her Pinterest Boards, turning them into gift boxes which were ultimately pinned and blogged about… Hot or not? Audi Quattro: Interactive Installation

Here’s a great experiential piece from Audi to promote their A4. To showcase the road handling capabilities of the car they built this socially enabled, interactive installation to let people experience a mini version of the car.
Passersby in Toronto had the chance to race one of 3 miniature Audis around a custom built 20ft x 7ft racing track using an iPad to control the car. The iPad app was paired with an in-car camera which gave the driver the perspective from the right inside the drivers seat, a first for this kind of installation. This is a great way to get people to experience the Audi in a truly interactive way and fits nicely with their push to be an innovative brand.

If you have some spare time check out the behind the scenes video that delves into the making of the cars and the track:

Missing Children: The invisible flyer

An average of 3 kids disappear in Argentina every day. Unfortunately, people don’t really get involved with the problem. Thanks to a quite particular flyer, thousands of people opened their eyes.

Subway: Fan this ad

It has been very long since I posted on my blog! Anyhow I'm back with a bang!

To communicate the new barbeque sub sandwich this cool application was developed. Like a real BBQ you have to wave a tablet until the charcoal heats up and burns, making it perfect to grill the meat for the new Subway sub. Very fun and relevant to the product.
