The Next Big Thing is Already Here - Samsung Galaxy S III

One word: Brilliant! Remember the Samsung Galaxy S2 ad which circulated around mocking the iPhone 4? Here is another one mocking the iPhone 5. Apple still doesn't have a reply to a lot of features included in the Samsung G S3.

Honestly in my opinion, the S3 is a better phone than the iPhone 5. I was a die hard IOS fan until my boss introduced me to Android, since than I have never looked back and enjoyed my journey with the awesome Android platform!

P.S: The new Apple map is getting a severe scrutiny from users, better watch out people!

90-Year-Old Pole Vaulter Will Make You Feel Lazy

Meet Dr. William Bell, a 90-year-old fitness nut who holds a pole vault world record for his age group. Pfft, as if a bunch of buff 20-something Olympic swimmers prancing their six-packs around the pool didn’t already make us all feel like a bunch of unaccomplished cubicle potatoes this week.

Envy aside, Dr. Bell could provide a helpful dose of pick-me-up to any of us feeling a bit lapsed in the physical fitness department

Choo-Choo-Choose to Watch Excited Train Guy

Maybe it’s the rumble of the engine or the sound of the horn, but something has this train enthusiast yelling with excitement. The railfan — yes, that’s a real thing — squeals behind the camera as a rare 1953 EA Heritage Train engine rolls through a New York station.

As one YouTuber put it, “Double Trainbow!”

Steve Jobs Resurrection (iPhone 5 Parody)

Nothing better than an iPhone 5 parody. This video depicts the late Steve Jobs dissing his successor Tim Cook the current CEO of apple. Brilliant video, a good mockery and pure entertainment for 3 odd minutes!

LG: Facebook in 3D

LG recently asked Perfect Fools to create an innovative new way of reinforcing the notion that the best things in life are even better in 3D.

Together, they transformed the Facebook Newsfeed in to 3D by creating the ’LG 3D Studio‘ which delves deeper in to the new possibilities with 3D viewing whilst also supporting the ‘Life is better in 3D’ campaign.

The web app can be used in 2D but is best viewed on a 3D cinema screen to get the full experience.

Every element of Facebook’s newsfeed was experimented with by Perfect Fools, including how the posts are displayed, navigation, depth, movement, colours, liking and representing content on screen. It transforms flat posts into dynamic blocks, with likes and comments setting the width and height of each stack.

LG are looking for this to be the first product out of the LG 3D Studio projects and will seek suggestions and feedback for future ideas via the 3D Newsfeed app itself and its Facebook page.

Michael Aneto, head of strategic planning at Perfect Fools, said about the app:

“We chose Facebook for the first experiment to make a statement with something universal, loved and fun.

The point of the experiments is to stimulate conversation and imagination so eventually when the target audience think of 3D, they think LG.”

What do you think? I’ve never seen a 3D Facebook newsfeed before so this can claim to be the first. I’m not sure whether it’s something i’d go back to after i’ve used it the first time though.

Instacube: Android Instagram Photo Frame

Kickstarter is helping to change the startup world, I’m not sure how many of you have backed projects on there, but I can tell you it feels great to help a start up and still get the product you wanted them to make. So check this one out, launched just a few days ago, and already smashing through their $250,000 backing requirement, the Instacube is a pretty cool connected object for all you hipsters out there, and it’s been generating some serious hype online.
Powered by an Android OS, the Instacube is a 600×600 digital photo frame of sorts, connected to the world via your wireless network, and designed to constantly stream your Instagram feeds directly to the screen, coming complete with a button on the frame to ‘like’ your favourite photos.

Audi Spheres: Showcasing The Future

Audi set out to show off their future brand ambitions through an experiential marketing installation in Copenhagen which they called the Audi Spheres.

Conceived by KMS Blackspace and SCHMIDHUBER, working with Danish interactive design specialists Kollision and AV experts Creative Technology, these three giant spheres were filled with a range of interactive and futuristic technology which included augmented reality video pads, giant video walls and concept cars, each sphere represented one of Audi’s future brand priorities; lightweight design, electric cars and their impact on the environment.

Attendees of the event were then able to experience a universe of constellations, each triggering a different showreel on the curved wall in front of them, enticing guests to approach, engage with the core messages and ultimately shape the content of the environment surrounding them. Pretty cool huh?

Revealing 'The Naked Espresso' - Breville Dual Boiler

How do you promote an espresso that is in a lot of consumers a similar product, even if it’s from a different brand? And if you don’t have George Clooney to endorse your product? Breville revealed the naked espresso, introducing the art and science behind the perfect espresso.

Toshiba – The Beauty Inside

Really nice short film and social tie-in made by Intel and Toshiba to show that every day you wake up different but one thing always reamins constant, and you could play the lead role. Watch the film first (6 mins) and then watch the ‘making of’ after. Thanks Clement Lam for the tip.

Here is the film

and here is the making of ...

Infographic: The Power Of Facebook Advertising

Facebook have just pumped out their very own info-graphic on the power of Facebook advertising, who would have thought?! OK so it’s not all that hard to believe given they need to increase revenue, which is exactly what this info-graphic targeted to businesses is about… I’d pull out all the key stats, but it’s probably a little easier for you to digest them below.
